Mentougou, China – 2026 UCI BMX World Cup Racing

The race weekend would get an early start as bad weather was forecast for Sunday, so racing would be moved up to take place on Friday and Saturday.
Payton Ridenour, Evan Oliviera, and Siena Pal were all standouts during the Elite qualifiers and looked to be some of the top riders on track during the day.

Round 5 Finals-
Evan continues to impress as the youngster shows so much experience and rode consistently all day, making his way into the Elite Main event on Friday. With solid gates all day and being top 2 in just about every race, when the gate dropped for the main, he was once again up front and fighting for the win. Evan would fight to the line and would finish up 2nd for the day, his best Elite World Cup result!

Payton seemed to gel well with the technical track as well and was also super confident and it showed with her consistency in qualifying. In the Semi, she uncorked a hot lap, taking 2nd and making the main event as well. In the main event, a tight battle down the hill would keep,Payton from hitting the big jump into turn 1 and she would battle her way to 5th for the day.

Siena has turned a lot of heads this season, as it’s her breakout year in Elite. Another rider up front most of the day and her jumping ability gave her the edge in the semi, where she would take 4th and join Payton in the main event. Siena had a day to remember as she was strong down the 1st straight and rode strong, passing riders and powered her way to a podium finish with a 3rd for the day, incredible!

Chase supported rider from France, Matteo Faure who competes in the U23 Men’s class and took 2nd in the final.
Chase supported rider from the Netherlands Meredith Van Der Harr made the U23 Women’s final, placing 5th.
Check back on Saturday for Day 2 Results.
